We brainstormed some goals we wanted to achieve this term

Today students reviewed adding and subtracting with carrying over and borrowing. They practised using different strategies such as scouting forward, making ten, and doubles or doubles + - 1. We completed a fun sheet that gave us a riddle 'What do Santa's elves do after school?'

Silent Reading

Math
Today continued to learn double digit subtraction with borrowing. Some of us found it confusing when bringing over the borrowed 1 as we kept wanting to add it to the number instead of making it a double digit number.
