UOI with language focus- Today we began working on our spelling words of the week. We completed our spelling work out. Here we practised learning the meanings of the words, rhyming words and putting words into sentences.
Reflection with language focus
Today we continued using our story comprehension sticks. Each stick has a instruction for us to listen for in the story.
Example:
- Beginning
- Middle
- End
- Key details
- Learner Profile
- Problem/solution
- characters
- setting
We read a story called If you give a mouse a cookie. Students had to listen to remember their parts and re-tell them at the end of the story. Students who did not have a popsicle stick had to make a connection to the story.

Today we worked on recognizing and showing ones and tens columns using ten frames and two part mats.

Today we presented our summative assessments and their rules. We headed outside to play the outside games. We played a few of our board games too! We will play more tomorrow.
