Day 12

Spelling test tomorrow

We started by writing our agenda note
Orange Shirt Day is a legacy that grew out of Phyllis' story of having her shiny new orange shirt taken away on her first day of school at the Mission, and it has become an opportunity to keep the discussion on all aspects of residential schools happening annually.

Cursive
Today students finished their cursive students practiced writing words with letters we have learned so far and then moved on to learning cursive u.


   

Music

Math: today students discussed our math unit on patterning. We reviewed what a pattern is, what makes up a pattern, and gave some examples. Students then reviewed the 5 attributes for patterning and sorting.

4. Direction
5. Numbers/letters 

Students are continued their review for our upcoming test tomorrow. Today we reviewed sorting circles.





Inquiry into Language
Today we worked on writing our own Exciting  sentences and it needs at the end of the sentence. Exciting (!)
   


Inquiry into relationships, rules and responsibilities

Students reviewed responsibilities and relationships. They then picked 4 important relationships to them. They drew pictures of those 4 relationships and then wrote 2 responsibilities they have for each of those relationships. This is done in book format and will be worked on over the next two days.
