Language and UOI

Today students were told they had a decision to make! They had to decide if Goldilocks should be grounded or not. Students used their prior knowledge of the story to make an early decision. We talked about opinions and how we have to be open minded of other's opinions and also to not let others tell us what to think. We then watched over a version of Goldilocks and made a two brainstorms. One that gave reasons why we think she should be grounded and one as to why she shouldn't. Students then thought about these two opinions and some of us changed our minds to say she should not be grounded. Have a discussion over the weekend with your child and see what their opinion is and why!
