Summer uniforms will begin when we return from Easter on Tuesday, April 18. Summer uniform consists of grey pants/shorts/skirt, the white polo t-shirt, and navy blue socks/stockings.

Uniform reminders: JK- Grade 2 gym uniforms are to be worn on Mondays and Wednesdays. After a weekend where Monday is a holiday students will return to school on the Tuesday in their dress uniform. 

Calendar- the special helpers put up the date, counts down to 100 days of school, and tells us what the weather is like today.

UOI with language focus- Today we focused on writing a spring acrostic poem. First we brainstormed words for each letter of SPRING. Then we chose words for each letter to put on our good copy of the poem.

• Talent Show this Friday, April 7th, with a variety of performances from SJA/Oakwood students in JK-Grade 6! The event will begin at 9:30 am and is expected to finish by 11 am. Friends and family are welcome to come watch this entertaining event to show support for the students who are performing in this year’s show

Math- today we worked on addition and subtraction using teen numbers. We learned and used different methods to help us work out the problems. 

UOI -  today we learned about how other cultures use masks. We also discussed how some cultures use masks made to look like different creatures. We talked about how a mask is an object normally worn on the face, typically for protection, disguise, ceremonial performance, or entertainment. We then created our own masks.
