Day 66 and 67



Inquiry into Language 
Day 66 - students completed work on writing an explanation of how to make a snowman!








Day 67 - Students continued more work on explanation writing of how to make their favourite sandwich.

Inquiry into Cultures
Day 66 - Students completed a Christmas scavenger hunt with 18 clues about Christmas all over the world











Day 67 - Students learned about Holidays in Israel.  They read the story:

Inquiry into Math 
Day 66 - students continued to practice how to subtract 2 and 3 digit numbers using base ten blocks. They were given steps to follow to help them complete the task!





Day 67 - students learned the standard algorithm for adding two, three, four, five even six digit numbers!!!!!!They were given steps to follow to help them complete the task!

  • We are in charge of the bake sale next week we will be responsible for bringing in items that are nut free and also made in a nut free facility - items from Tim Hortons cannot be accepted. 
On December 17, 2019, students from Grade 3 to Grade 8 will put on two performances at the St. Jude’s Academy Dome. Our afternoon performance will begin at 1:00 pm, with doors opening at 12:30. Our evening performance will begin at 6:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:15 pm. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Please keep in mind that outside food and drinks are not permitted in the Dome.

For our evening performance, families are welcome to take our shuttle from St. Jude’s to the Dome and back. Shuttles will begin running from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Please meet in the main office.

We encourage all families to come bundled up to stay warm and cozy for the entire show. The students and teachers have put a tremendous amount of work into their performances and kindly ask that all families stay and enjoy the show until the end.
