The SJA Parent Guild has partnered with classes and teachers to help raise funds for technology items. Each class has chosen a specific theme and will create a gift basket to be auctioned off at the Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 21. Our grade 1 class has chosen to put together a ‘winter basket.’ We are encouraging each student to donate $10 or buy an item(s) valued at $10. Please return the ‘Classroom Basket Auction’ form with item or money donation no later than Tuesday, November 15. These forms have been sent home. We thank in you advance for your donation.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!! That’s right grade 1 parents. Our annual Holiday Fundraiser is back and running until November 18. Order forms have been sent home. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin shopping for the holiday season, which is fast approaching. Money raised will be going towards technology items, which we desperately need!! Ask your family, neighbours, and co-workers to support this fantastic fundraiser... we have cookies, treats, and gift cards! We did extremely well last year, so lets see if we can do even better! Thank you so much in advance for your support.
The MYP students are putting together a used winter clothing drive for Syrian Refugee families living in Mississauga. We are asking for gently used winter gear such as hats, mitts, snow pants, boots, coats, scarves, etc. The clothing drive will run from now until November 18.
NO school Friday or Monday.

today we continued our novel study "Dinosaurs before Dark," we read chapters 3-4 and answered comprehension questions about what we read. We also began a flip notebook to write down characteristics of the dinosaurs we read about in the book. The character Jack has a similar notebook!
