Day 93

Calendar- the special helpers put up the date, counts down to 100 days of school, and tells us what the weather is like today.

UOI with language focus- Today we read chapters 3 and 4 of our novel study. We answered comprehension questions together as a class and then we played a game where students had to write a minimum of 4 adjective clues and we had to guess what their favourite candy was.

  • Spelling test Friday
  • It is hard to believe, but the time is here already – re-registration is upon us! Re-registrations forms have been sent home. The deadline to re-register is February 9. After that we open up spaces to the public.
  • Math test tomorrow. 
  • Poems home, please memorize with actions and expression

Math- Today we went over collecting data using tallies and putting the data in a graph. We also went over how many more and how many less when comparing data. Students are reviewing for their test tomorrow. 

Inquiry into Inventions 
today as a class we discussed the telephone. We learned that Alexander Graham Bell had invented it. Lastly as table groups we looked at pictures of the telephone over the years and put them in order of their time lines. Then we looked at some older phones Mr. Foster brought in from when he was younger we concluded . . . that he is OLD. Ha Ha Ha 





Daily Five 
Word work 
work on writing  - - - - -  Today we worked on this specifically with a journal. We wrote about a candy we would invent. How it would look like, taste, smell and cost.
