Math- Today we completed a pre-test about 3D shapes to show what our prior knowledge is. After wards we learned a song about 3D shapes and then discussed what faces, vertices and edges are. We also discussed the difference between a 2D shape (flat) and a 3D shape. (fat)

Inquiry into Inventions
today as a class we discussed what life would be like without the light bulb. I gave them the scenario what if there was no light bulbs what would you do? Many said they would get a flashlight to which I replied uses a light bulb to which they replied nightlight to which I informed them uses a lightbulb. Many students became stumped until someone suggested fire! Many other suggested how dangerous that could be. We then discussed things we wouldn't be able to do without lights.

Daily Five
for our daily five today we practiced reciting our poems in front of the class. While the majority of us have them memorized we need to work on adding some actions!
