Math:
We have begun our new unit on time, temperature and money. We began by reviewing what a minute is. We then discussed what a hour is and a day. Students then looked at 4 activities and decided if those activities would take about a minute, hour, second, day.
We then reviewed time. We discussed what the big hand and little had were. We learned that if the big hand is pointing to the 12 we would be saying ___ O'clock or writing __:00. We moved on to discuss if the big hand was pointing to the 6 we would be saying half past ____ or __:30.
Inquiry into Language
Today we read chapter 4 of our novel study Dinosaurs Before Dark. We then answered comprehension questions regarding what we heard in that chapter.
Unit of Inquiry -
Students turned themselves into dinosaurs to match their writing piece!
