• No spelling test or words this week
• Skating trip tomorrow - please send helmets, skates, snow pants 
• Bring in food item for Monday - as per category 
• Please send in India research and any knick knacks or things to display you might have 
• It is hard to believe, but the time is here already – re-registration is upon us! Re-registrations forms have been sent home. The deadline to re-register is February 9. After that we open up spaces to the public.
• International Mindedness Day will be taking place on Friday, January 20 from 2:30-3:15 and parents are more than welcome to join us. This is an in class project, which we will be working on from now until January 20^th. The country we have chosen is India and students have been placed into groups. 
• Year Ahead Day will be taking place on Wednesday, January 25. This allows grade 1 students to spend a day as a grade 2 student. Students always look forward to this day!

Math - 
today students began our new data management unit. We discussed the steps to graphing

1. collect data
2. sort, tally and number data
3. Graph data

we also discuss the important parts of a graph - titles, colours, starting at the bottom, numbers

Inquiry into Organization
We discussed and planned our upcoming IB visit and how we are going to show them we are inquirers by creating our own healthy food market place!
