Summative Assessment
As many of you have noticed students brought home their yellow bristol boards. This is their summative assessment. Students are creating a grocery store of their own. They have already divided it in the sections they want and have begun adding their products.
To be completed for Monday
- continue to fill shelves with pictures
- add prices to the items
- On a blank standard size piece of paper create and write their grocery store name and decorate it.
- be able to explain to the class how and why they orangized their store the way they did.
SJA is excited to announce that Year Ahead Day is happening again this year! All SJA PYP students will be participating in this exciting event on Wednesday, January 25th. Year Ahead Day is a fun and interactive day for the students at SJA to spend a day in the class of the grade level ahead of them (example: SK students spend their day as Grade 1 students, Grade 6 students spend their day as Grade 7 students, etc.). This is a great way for the students at SJA to get a glimpse into their future life at SJA! Students can get to know the teachers, see their future classroom, and take part in activities they will be participating in next year. Please know that the teacher that is assigned for your child does not mean this will be your child's classroom teacher next year.
