Summer uniforms will begin when we return from Easter on Tuesday, April 18. Summer uniform consists of grey pants/shorts/skirt, the white polo t-shirt, and navy blue socks/stockings.
Uniform reminders: JK- Grade 2 gym uniforms are to be worn on Mondays and Wednesdays. After a weekend where Monday is a holiday students will return to school on the Tuesday in their dress uniform.
Calendar- the special helpers put up the date, counts down to 100 days of school, and tells us what the weather is like today.
UOI with language focus-
Today we focused on learning how to write an opinion piece. We have some background knowledge on this topic as we organized an opinion piece for if Goldilocks should be grounded during our third UOI. Students wrote their opinion on why homework should or should not be given by teachers.

- if you have any empty toilet paper, paper towel or wrapping paper rolls to please send them in for us to use.
- On April 12th students will be put in pairs where they will be given a paper doll template on regular size (8by11) paper. They will be required to decorate one side of the doll in their traditional cultural dress. We are asking that prior to this day you help by researching pictures for them to look at to get ideas. We are also asking that if you have any materials that could be used (beads, buttons, fabric, etc.) if you could please send them in as well.

Math-today we focused on ways to group items, and grouping items by 10s.
UOI - Today we discussed First Nations art and the artist Ted Harrison. Students will be re-creating one of his art pieces tomorrow.
