Just a reminder the ordering site http://mydigitalmailroom.com/sja is now open to order April Lunches. Please use your previously created accounts to log in. If you are having an issue logging in this may mean your account has been frozen because you have an outstanding balance due. Please contact bsmith@stjudesacademy.com if you have any questions. Please keep in mind that we do not reimburse for absent days or field trips.  Orders must be placed by Fri. March 31st at 4pm and payments must be received by Monday April 3rd in order to process your lunch order.

Summer uniforms will begin when we return from Easter on Tuesday, April 18. Summer uniform consists of grey pants/shorts/skirt, the white polo t-shirt, and navy blue socks/stockings.


Uniform reminders: JK- Grade 2 gym uniforms are to be worn on Mondays and Wednesdays. After a weekend where Monday is a holiday students will return to school on the Tuesday in their dress uniform. 

Calendar- the special helpers put up the date, counts down to 100 days of school, and tells us what the weather is like today.

UOI with language focus-
Today we focused on continuing to learn how to write an opinion piece. Today we focused on organizing our opinion of someone who is a good friend to us. Tomorrow we will take our organization page and put it into letter format for that friend.

  • Friday, March 31 is Autism Awareness Day. Please bring in a $2.00 and wear blue to show your support.
  •  if you have any empty toilet paper, paper towel or wrapping paper rolls to please send them in for us to use. 
  • On April 12th students will be put in pairs where they will be given a paper doll template on regular size (8by11) paper. They will be required to decorate one side of the doll in their traditional cultural dress. We are asking that prior to this day you help by researching pictures for them to look at to get ideas. We are also asking that if you have any materials that could be used (beads, buttons, fabric, etc.) if you could please send them in as well.

Math-today we focused on grouping items by 10s and recording the ones left over. 

UOI - Today we continued with our First Nations art and the artist Ted Harrison. Students created an art piece in his style. Ted Harrison is a well known Canadian artist famous for his use of line and colour in his landscape paintings around his beloved Yukon home.
