Inquiry into Language
Today we looked at the title of a book called Don't Let the Pigeon Stay up Late. We looked at the title and the picture and we inferred what we think the story is about. Tomorrow we will read it. Students were told they had to write a persuasive paragraph for someone to let them stay up late.
Today students continued to add two dollar amounts together. They focused on adding the cents first, putting down the decimal place and then adding the dollars, carrying over where need be. Students worked in their workbooks and used their journals to work the problems out.
Students took our materials from their nature walk and made their structures with them following the plans they had written.
