Math
Today students began their data management unit. Students worked in partners to pull plastic chips out of a bag. There were 10 red and 5 blue. Students had to record how many of each they pulled and answer questions as to why they pulled more red than blue. Afterwards students worked on learning the words likely and unlikely. They looked at pictures and labelled them likely or unlikely. Students then drew their own pictures and we as a class had to guess likely or unlikely.

Inquiry into Language
Students completed a journal re-tell for their upcoming ontario writing assessment. Students were told to close their eyes and imagine waking up, laying in bed stretching, they get up and look out the window and see it is raining and there is no more ground just water! Students were then told to write me a journal re-telling what they had done that day.

Inquiry into Inventions
Students sat in their table groups and discussed what they thought an invention was. They then presented their definitions to the class.

Before gym we had a few extra minutes so we took some time to clean and organize our table bins and desks and get our loot bags from Abeer.
