Math:
Today students learned how to recognize number patterns through skip counting. This was tricky for us when the patterns started higher for example 45, 50, ___, ____, 65. But we know 5, 10, 15, 20.

We also learned how to skip count by 25. We will practice more tomorrow.

Inquiry into Language
Today students wrote their OWA

They were required to write recess rules in the format of a list and then draw a picture of themselves doing one of those rules.

Students will be graded based on:
1. text format (did they follow the proper set up/formation of a list)
2. Knowledge about recess rules
3. Conventions (periods, capitals, spelling)
4. personal connections

Unit of Inquiry -
We got out our orange UOI folders and picked 3 pieces from them. We labelled these as
1. Our best work
2. Something I worked my hardest on
3. Something I need to improve on.

We then put these pieces into our IB portfolios that will travel with us through our years at SJA.

We ended our day by having gym class with Ms. Jans, you can check out her blog at https://janspe1.blogspot.ca/
