The ordering Website is now active for the month of November. You may start ordering your child's lunches! Please make sure your child is under the correct grade when ordering. http://mydigitalmailroom.com/sja The last day to order for November will be Friday, October 27th. After this date, our system closes and is unable to open for November ordering. All payments are due on Friday, November 3rd. 

Payment Instructions

• There are two options to pay for lunches. Cash and online via Freshbooks. 
• If you choose to pay through Freshbooks, please choose the cheque option on the ordering site. 
• Cheque payments will not be accepted. 

• Shortly after completing your order, a Freshbooks invoice will be sent to your email. 
• It may take one or two days to process your order to Freshbooks, so please be check your email diligently for the invoice.  

Another item has been added to our Hot Lunch Program as a Special. This month's special is Vegetarian Lasagna that will be available every Friday!

Novel Study
Today we read chapter 3. Students then answered comprehension questions in our novel study booklet. The booklet helps us build answers to the questions until we can do it on our own. We learned we need to use words from the question in our answer.

Math: 

Today students reviewed adding using doubles and skip counting by 2's, 5's, 10's and 25's. We also played a game for house points to review.

Inquiry into Language
We reviewed what a noun is (person, place, thing) and then moved on to learn what a verb is (an action word) students acted out some verbs to show the class! Then they completed a sorting work sheet to help them decide between nouns and verbs.

Unit of Inquiry -

We learned all about fossils today with Mr. Foster's class. Bill Nye the science guy helped us! This helped us to understand what we will be learning at the ROM.
