The ordering Website is now active for the month of November. You may start ordering your child's lunches! Please make sure your child is under the correct grade when ordering. http://mydigitalmailroom.com/sja The last day to order for November will be Friday, October 27th. After this date, our system closes and is unable to open for November ordering. All payments are due on Friday, November 3rd. 

Payment Instructions

• There are two options to pay for lunches. Cash and online via Freshbooks. 
• If you choose to pay through Freshbooks, please choose the cheque option on the ordering site. 
• Cheque payments will not be accepted. 

• Shortly after completing your order, a Freshbooks invoice will be sent to your email. 
• It may take one or two days to process your order to Freshbooks, so please be check your email diligently for the invoice.  

Another item has been added to our Hot Lunch Program as a Special. This month's special is Vegetarian Lasagna that will be available every Friday!

Today we read

We talked about what it means to be Knowledgeable and how we can be or become more Knowledgeable. We then filled in a sheet with our ideas and placed it in our IB binders. 

Novel Study
Today we review what we have read so far in chapters 1-2. Students then answered comprehension questions in our novel study booklet. The booklet helps us build answers to the questions until we can do it on our own. We learned we need to use words from the question in our answer.

Math: 

Today students reviewed even and odd numbers for our upcoming test. We also played a game for house points to review even and odd.


Inquiry into Language
We reviewed what a noun is (person, place, thing) we then played a game where I gave students a category and they had to tell me the noun to match. The first person to answer right received a house point. We then switched the game to where I gave the students a noun and they had to tell me the category. The first person to answer right received a house point. Students then did a cut and paste activity to sort pictures of nouns into their categories.

Unit of Inquiry -

We talked about our new UOI. We discussed features of dinosaurs. We talked about teeth, claws, bodies and heads. Students then looked at pictures of dinosaurs and chose a two leg or four leg template to create their own.
