Today students presented their speeches for feedback. Please keep in mind our in class competition is on Monday. 

Inquiry into Simple Machines

Today students learned about the pulley!

We learned that simple machines make work easier. A pulley helps us lift heavy things (the load). We learned that a pulley needs a string/rope and a wheel with a groove to work.
We also thought of examples of a pulley - cranes, flag poles, curtains, elevators
We began to create our own pulleys in our table groups we will finish tomorrow:

Inquiry into Math

Today students worked on making 2D shapes out of other 2D shapes

We then moved on to learn how to tell the difference between prisms and pyramids
