Inquiry into Language
Students played a guess who game with me so I could get to know them! Students completed a sheet about themselves and I read them out loud. We had to guess which friend in the class we thought it was. If we guessed right we got a house point for our house.
Inquiry into Simple Machines
Today students learned about the lever!

We talked about how a fulcrum is an important part of a lever.
Students were given 4 elastics, 8 popsicle sticks, a plastic spoon and a picture! They were told to investigate and create a catapult!
Once completed we used our catapult to shoot marshmallows into our partners' mouths!!!!!!

Inquiry into Math
Today students worked a 3-D shape scavenger hunt! We learned what a pyramid and prism are. We then learned how to look at the face to tell us the shape name. Then we went around the school to find and record the shape cards.
We completed our work early so we had some free time to use manipulatives to explore!!!!
