Inquiry into Language
Due to the house game today and yesterday we modified our language writing from the other grade 2 class. Today we wrote a short story about the time all the machines went away. Students helped write the introduction sentence and were given the prompts for each sentence.
Inquiry into Simple Machines
Students continued building their Leprechaun traps. If the written portion of their package is not complete it was sent back home in the agenda to complete. We sorted out materials and kept a ‘spare parts box’
As a class we reviewed safety in regard to using scissors and glue guns. We talked about how to safely puncture holes using scissors. How/where to hold a hot glue gun. How to squeeze the glue gun and how to press items together using popsicle sticks and not our fingers when using the hot glue gun.
Gym
Inquiry into Math
Today students continued to learn about elapsed time. Today we learned how to count elapsed time by hours. Students did this such in different way such as finding the start time, the end time and elapsed time.
Agenda
- Forms have been sent home regarding SJA’s awesome Adventure Camp. The wonderful camp will run from Monday to Friday both weeks of the March Break (March 9-13 & March 16-20) and is offered to student from JK to Grade 6. Field trips will take place on Thursday afternoons. Meal plans are also included if you chose to do so. Cash or QuickBooks payments only please. Don’t delay; register today!
