Day 15

The deadline for after school activity forms and money has been extended until Wednesday, September 28 at 4:00 PM.

Important information and reminders:

Blossom Yoga (www.BlossomYogaKids.com) with Ummul Patrawala is back at SJA, as part of our after school activities. First session starts on Wednesday Oct 5th.  Come ready to have fun, move, stretch, and relax while exploring fun yoga games, creative breathing exercises, yoga art and yoga songs. Here is a short video highlighting the fun and relaxing yoga classes that SJA kids have experienced in the past with Mrs. Patrawala. Stay Calm and Breathe On!


Terry Fox pledge forms have been sent home. Every little bit helps. All forms and money are due back by Thursday, September 29.

We have already raised $300 way to go grade ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


UOI with Language focus - 
Today we worked on composing a proper journal entry. We talked about have an introduction sentence (top like your head) two middle sentences (like your body) and a closing sentence (end like your feet)

  • Students are being asked to bring in a photo of someone important to them by Friday. Please write on the back the persons name and why they are important to your child. Students will be presenting this photo to the class so being able to tell those two things will help.

Today we worked on recognizing numerals and number words 1-10

UOI -

Today we continued to talk about what a good friend looks like. We then got into pairs and where given a scenario where we had to create a skit to show how a good friend would act. Students will present their skits tomorrow.

examples of scenarios
- a friend is hurt
- a friend is sad
- a friend doesn't have anyone to play with
- a friend doesn't fee well
