Day 24

Inquiry into Language

Today students completed their spelling workout books for the upcoming test this week

Inquiry into Citizenship

Today students got out their UOI folders and did some reflecting on their work! They were given the criteria to pick 4 pieces of their work:

1. My best work
2. Something I worked my hardest on
3. Something I want to improve on
4. A way I showed a learner profile

We then placed them in their IB portfolios under the above headings.

Students then took the time to reflect on their summative assessments. Then they gave themselves a self evaluation using the rubric.

International Day
Students began to share their researched information with the class:

Gym
Math

Today students continued their new math unit on Data Management. Students looked at pie (circle) graphs and learned how to read them. We learned about how the different sizes and amounts in the circle help to tell us the answer for example 1/2 of the circle broken into half again is 1/4 and that 1/4 broken into half again is 1/8....Sounds a lot harder when it is typed out then visually done!  We also used a visual to help us by looking at the size.
