Today students completed their first review week in their spelling workout books . . . what does this mean?
Students are able to pick any 5 words we have learned to complete their paragraph in their green books for the week. What does this mean for our spelling test? Students will be required to pick any 5 words we have learned and write those five words in their allocated agenda space. In class on Friday students will write a paragraph with those 5 words. Students can practice at home what they will write (hint their paragraph for the week in their green books!) but cannot come to class with the paragraph ready to copy. Reflection
Students brainstormed what it means to be knowledgeable. We created a brainstorm bubble on the board. Once completed students wrote what knowledgeable means to them. Once they were done this they then wrote about a time they were knowledgeable. Lastly they drew a picture to portray the time they were knowledgeable.

Inquiry into Migration and Immigration
Today students got into groups and brainstormed different types of transportation that is used on land, in air and in the sea. They were given chart paper and 5 minutes at each land, air and sea station. They were told they could use pictures or words to create a graffiti wall of all the different types of transportation for each.

Today students began to look at a data chart and how to put that data into a bar graph. Students were reminded their bar graph needed
1. a title
2. numbers along the side going up by either 2, 5, 10 - start at zero, each line gets a number - label this Number of Children
3. Title along the bottom with your items
4. graph it
We then talked about different ways to describe the graph for example
_______ is the favourite
_______ is the least favourite
_______ children were asked
_______ and _______ were tied
