We discussed why its important to follow rules and laws made, why they are important. Students took many ideas from the book to compliment their thinking.

Then we watched a quick video explaining laws, regulations, government and rights

We also discussed consequences for those that do not follow the rules and brainstormed some we know such as going to court, getting a ticket, paying money, going to jail.

Then students were told they would need to create their own law and a consequence if their law is broken! They began to draw a picture to accompany their idea.

I found a nice surprise on my phone at the end of the day! Hahaha
