Day 4



Language - 
Today students cracked open their spelling work out books, students completed activities to learn the meaning of their spelling words, how to use the spelling words in a sentence, and proofreading sentences.




Math
Students continued to work on patterns using a 100s chart. Today they were given numbers they then had to count forwards or backwards by 5's, 10's, or 2's. Students learned the words INCREASE and DECREASE to help with describing their patterns.

• For Spelling homework students will pick 5 of their spelling words and put them into a small paragraph. Paragraphs will require an opening and closing as well as the words in the middle essentially 4-6 sentences.

Reflection Journal 
students took their learning from last week and put it to paper! They wrote their definition of Inquirer. Drew a picture to show what an Inquirer looks like and then wrote how they will be an Inquirer this year. We then voted on which we thought was the nicest and posted it on our board. 



Inquiry into Citizenship
Students brainstormed what a good citizen of our classroom would look like. All responses on our Essential Agreement were thought of and agreed upon by students in the #6 is my favourite!!!!! After we came up with 8 each one of us signed the agreement with my special smelly markers.
