Inquiry into Citizenship
We brainstormed what a decision is
Then we were told that Mr. Sawatsky has left the fate of the SJA math program in our hands. He isn't sure that students need to learn math anymore. Students were told they had to make the important decision to decide to keep learning math at SJA or get rid of the math program. We took a minute to sit quietly and make the important decision in our heads.
Then we split into two groups the ones who said yes we should and ones that said no we shouldn't. We then partnered to discuss our ideas on our decision.
Then we partnered with the opposing side to hear their thoughts
We then made a chart of all of our ideas we had some fantastic ideas that really surprised me of higher level thinking! Very proud!
