Today students completed their first round of review for spelling. Students were given the opportunity to get our their agendas and pick five previous spelling words. They were then asked to write them in 5 detailed sentences (1 word, 5 sentences). We reviewed the details mean things like, who, what, where, when, why or adjectives, verbs, nouns. Students were then given 45 minutes to write their five sentences. Marks were based upon the criteria of
1. spelling of words
2. understanding of the sentence - does it make sense
3. Periods/Capitals
4. Is the word used correctly in a sentence? Is the meaning correct?
5. Detail, is who, what, where, when, why or adjectives, verbs, nouns used?
Math
Students continued to work on their creating bar graph skills. What was not completed students brought home in their agenda to complete over the weekend.

3. does your graph start at 0?
4. does each line have a number?
5. have you labelled the bottom?
6. have you coloured neatly?

Students were given a picture of a city scape. They were told they had 15 mins to locate, colour and label as many different modes of transportation as they could find.
