Today I had such a fun day with all my new friends!!!!!
Inquiry into Language Arts
In grade two we learn how to write in the form of an explanation. Today our friends wrote an explanation of how to make a snowman using prompting steps. Students looked at pictures and brainstormed from previous experience how to make a snowman. We then brainstormed a list of words we would need to help us wth our writing. Here is some of our work:
Inquiry into Math
Students learned how to make a proper bar graph. We learned how to give each axis a title and how to add numbers. We also learned how to sort our data to place it on the graph. We made sure to start our graph from the bottom in order to show correct results! Once we finished we got to eat some of our candy hearts we graphed YUM!

Today students learned about Chinese New Year! We read a story that gave us all kinds of details about this celebration:
We then made our own dragons like in the parade in the story!
When we finished our activities early we got to work on some educational games/toys
