Today students completed the first 3 pages of their spelling workout books. They became familiar with their words, how they are spelled and the meaning behind the words.
Inquiry into Citizenship
Today students went to the library and used the tablets to help them learn about important persons in our communities by using a community helper app. Most had previous knowledge of community helpers from last year!

Today we became more familiar with a 100s chart by taking the numbers from it and putting them in order. We talked about looking for patterns such as the rows being all numbers that start with 2,3,4,5 etc. and columns that all end with a certain number. This helped us to quickly navigate the 100s chart.
Today we created patterns on a 100 chart by counting on and counting back. Students were given specific numbers to start at and had to count on by 5's, 10's and 2's as well as backwards by those.
We reviewed specific words such as
