Inquiry into Language Arts
Today students reviewed what a noun is! We talked about how nouns are people, places and things. We then cleared off our table bins spread out newspapers and as table groups tried to find as many nouns as we could in the time frame given.
Inquiry into Citizenship
Today students reviewed our brainstorm from yesterday about being a good citizen and a community.
We watched a video about how to make our community a better place
Afterwards students were challenged for the rest of the year to everyday say/do at least one kind thing everyday
Lastly we drew a self portrait and wrote around the picture words of how we are/will be a good citizen in our community

Today we continued to work on number lines, we took this one step further by learning to plot a set of given numbers on a number line.
Reading buddies
The grade 5 class came to work with us on reading strategies. Today we focused on how to re-tell a story that we have read.
