Inquiry into Language Arts
Today students completed the first OWA pre-assessment. This assessment is a continuation from last year term 3 as they are required to write a letter to a friend in the form of a re-tell. Over the next couple of weeks we will be focusing on:
- the parts of a letter
- how to write a re-tell
- how to write a letter to a person in the form of a re-tell
For their OWA post assessment students will be required to write a letter to a friend who was absent from class. They will need to re-tell what they missed during their absence.
Inquiry into Citizenship
Today students created our wonder wall with their questions about what they want to learn during our unit

Lastly we created our Essential agreement for the classroom community for the year . . . all of these were class created

Today we became familiar with counting on and back on a number line. Students first worked together in their table groups to answer questions using the number line I gave them for house points. First table group to get the answer all won!!!
Next we worked on our math makes sense books to complete pages 6-7 on number lines and describing number line patterns. Students need to finish #3 c and d for homework tonight
