Inquiry into Language Arts
Today students reviewed what a verb is! (An action word...Something we can do) We brain stormed a list of verbs and then used them to play Simon says.
Inquiry into Citizenship
Students finished up their self portraits from yesterday . . .
Then we moved on to taking our learned knowledge of communities and applying it by creating our own city!!!! We made a list of important needs for cities and then I gave them an example of how to make their own. Tomorrow we will continue to work on our plates

Today we learned about tens and ones. We learned how to recognize them in base ten form as well as in every day form. We also learned how to represent them in numbers and group objects into tens. We found this easy peasy lemon squeezie and were very impressed with ourselves today!
